In 2017, Chrome Industries collaborated with Cinelli Bicycles and eight artists to produce a philanthropic campaign to benefit eight different charities. Each artist was given a Cinelli bike frame to interpret/embellish in any way they chose. We then auctioned off each frame and funneled all proceeds to a charity of their choosing.
We created a buzz by generating imagery, email blasts and integrated social strategies with each artist to reach our collective audiences. The frames were put on display for a launch event at REI’s highest profile location in SOHO NYC, resulting in over ten thousand dollars being donated to the partnering charities.

The beautiful part about fixed gear is that individuals often build their bikes piece by piece. There’s a sincere amount of personality that comes through each build that is influenced by the builder’s unique set of experiences. I started this series as a way to showcase and share some of that beauty by inviting people to the studio to photograph their fixed gear setups.
